American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM) is
dedicated to the teaching of aesthetic medical science techniques and
procedures, education and training, and to providing new and leading edge
information gained from activities here in North America as well as from around
the world. The AAAM forms a part of the International Union of Aesthetic
Medicine, which has twenty member societies, and as such you will enjoy the
added benefit of information and expertise from a global perspective. This is
reflected in the many conferences, congresses, courses and workshops that form
a large part of the AAAM's activities.

The UIME (International Association of Aesthetic Medicine
// Union Internationale de Médecine Esthétique) was created 25 years
ago in France by representatives of four European countries (Belgium, France,
Italy and Spain). The UIME was created in response to the blooming of a new
specialty within the medical world: aesthetic medicine. The goal was to gather
any practitioner who had a desire to focus on aesthetic medicine, regardless of
their specialty. Both family practitioners and specialists were targeted. This
concept became very attractive to a growing number of physicians. More
countries from Western Europe soon joined the UIME followed by several Latin
American countries and the United States. The opening of Eastern Europe to the
world also added to the number of member nations. Today, twenty six countries
from all over the world are members of the UIME.
